Suha Punta beach
Suha Punta close to Kampor in the northwestern part of the island of Rab is one of the most beautiful and forested parts of the island. Here, you'll find fantastic pebbly and rocky beaches that can be reached by taxi boat, car, or cycling along pine-shaded trails. Apart from its crystal clear sea, stunning views and coves, the beach also offers a wide range of amenities, ranging from sun lounger and umbrella rental, bars and restaurants, to tennis and beach volleyball courts.
House of Rab cake
While strolling along the streets in the historic part of the town of Rab, don't forget to stop at the House of Rab Cake and learn more about this celebrated dessert typical of the island of Rab. Your hosts will tell you the story of a secret recipe from 1177 when the cake was first served to Pope Alexander III on the occasion of the consecration of the island's Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. You'll also have the opportunity to see how this original cake is prepared but also to taste it and buy one as a souvenir.
St. Christopher's Tower
On the highest spot in the town of Rab, close to Komrčar Park, there is a fort with the prominent Tower of St. Christopher, the patron saint of the town and the island of Rab. The fort is located right on the coast, and if you climb to its top, you'll enjoy a spectacular view of the old town, the island and the surrounding sea.
Rab - Maman trail
If you'd like to discover the scenic beauty of the island of Rab in an active way, then the hiking trail that connects Rab with the small island of Maman is ideal for you. This 14-km-long route starts at the town walls in Rab and leads along the island's most picturesque cove of Sveta Eufemija to Kampor, and then on to Dumići Cove and along the shore to the small island of Maman. The trail is for a large part also suitable for cycling along, but the Dumići peninsula and islet of Maman can be visited only by boat or on foot.
Boat excursions
During your stay on the island of Rab, you shouldn't miss out on excursions by boat or glass-bottom catamaran. These half-day or all-day excursions will reveal to you the view of the island's indented coastline from the sea, the attractive seabed, and a panorama of the Lopar peninsula. They also provide you with the opportunity to swim on the nearby islands, or acquaint you with the island of Goli Otok, which once hosted the notorious communist prison known as 'the Croatian Alcatraz'.
