Travel documents
A travel document means your passport or other internationally recognised identity document. EU citizens can travel to Croatia with a valid passport or ID card. Foreign visitors generally do not need a visa to enter Croatia and can stay here for up to three months. Currency in Croatia
The official Croatian currency is the kuna (1 kuna = 100 lipa). Foreign currency can be exchanged in banks, exchange offices and post offices, as well as in most tourist agencies, hotels and campsites. Almost all tourist properties, catering establishments, shops and ATMs accept Eurocard/MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners credit cards.
Traffic rules in Croatia
In Croatia, traffic drives on the right-hand side. Speed limits are indicated on signs alongside the roads. If there are no signs, the following speed limits apply:
- motorways 130 km/h (81mph),
- dual carriageways 100 km/h (62 mph)
- populated areas 50 km/h (31 mph)
- non populated areas 80 km/h (50 mph)

Electricity and water supply
The voltage is 220 V, 50 Hz. Electrical plugs are the standard continental European twin round types. Tap water is drinkable all over Croatia.
