Labin and the Labin coal mine
Don't miss the opportunity to visit the medieval small town perched on a hilltop above Rabac. The birthplace of Matija Vlačić, Martin Luther's companion, is an obligatory stop for a vast number of tourists. Labin loggia
Lodges have been a synonym of Istrian authenticity with many different purposes - the locals gathering place and a place where numerous cultural events and legal pleas were once organized etc. This is true of the loggia in the medieval small town of Labin which dates back to 1550.
Porta Sanfior and Teatrino
The main Labin town gate, St. Flor's town gate, dates back to 1589. The Labin coat of arms and the Serenissima lion were placed above the gate and there is also a canon from the Austrian period which was positioned here for the second time in 1995. Teatrino is a small Labin theatre, founded in 1844 which used to be a storage room for grains.
The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birth
The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birth, specific for its structure consisting of three naves, was built in 1336. It is adorned by six marble altars including St. Justus' altar and relics which have been brought from Rome in 1664. The front of the church bears a Venetian lion with a ball in its mouth, a former symbol of recognizing Venetian rule in Labin. Rabac promenades
Stroll along the numerous Rabac promenades crossing the savoury Mediterranean nature to see why Rabac is called the "Kvarner pearl". Take time out to rest on one of the many beaches where the crystal blue sea washes the white pebbles.
Glagolitic Alley
Set off towards the Istrian hinterland and visit the famous Glagolitic Alley located along the road connecting the town of Roč and amazingly, the smallest town in the world, Hum. The alley is seven kilometres long, featuring eleven sculptures dedicated to the Glagolitic script. Spend the day outdoors, among nature, and learn more about the charming Istrian hinterland.
Učka Nature Park
Go hiking along this nature park's educational trails whose beauties have been long known and admired. The natural geographical structure and the sea located nearby have favoured the development of a specific climate and rich forest vegetation as well as a diverse, protected fauna.
Raša
Visit one of Istria’s smallest towns where you can take a look around the interesting church of St. Barbara, the patron saint of coal miners. The church was shaped as a coal mining wagon which had been turned over, and the bell-tower resembles a traditional coal mining lamp. The interior also resembles coal mining hallways with a museum dedicated to coal miners in the bell-tower.

An event which you shouldn’t pass by in your holidays is the meditarranean sculpture symposium. It’s taking place nearby Dubrova, the nature park not far awayy from the Croatian city Labin. Most of the sculptures were carved from stone, which is by the years nearly a symbol for Labin. Thanks to the continous rising number of participants the collection of sculptures gets bigger and bigger every year.
