Arena Amphitheatre
Enter the world’s sixth largest amphitheatre which was once used to host the most important social events such as the gladiators' and knights' battle, and today still the stage of many events and festivals. Kaštel
This defence building from the 17th century in the shape of a star formed by its towers, was built according to the layout made by a French military architect. Located on the town's central hilltop, you won't regret taking a stroll along the walls from which you can enjoy the view of the town of Pula.
Arch of the Sergii
Also called the Golden gate, the arch was founded between the years 29 and 27 BC, honouring the Sergii family members who were officers. It leaned against the town gate which had been demolished at the beginning of the 19th century as the town was spreading outside of its walls. It was built in Corinthian style, lavishly adorned.
Parks in Pula
The sight of Pula would not be complete without a visit to its nicely tended parks, each telling its own story. The majority had been planted during the Austrian and Hungarian rule visible in the purposely divided trails, water supply lines and expert selection of the plants. Pula Aquatorium
Have fun exploring the flora and fauna found in the sea, rivers and lakes! Visit the Aquatorium located in a fort, built in 1886 which still has preserved rooms and tunnels you can take a look at. The Aquatorium's findings are scattered in approximately 60 pools and they include, among other things, flora and fauna of the Adriatic Sea, tropical fish, the turtle resort and various exhibitions.
Istrian Archaeological Museum
Keen on learning more about the town of Pula and its surrounding area's distant past? Then head towards the Archaeological Museum and take a look at the Prehistoric, Antique and Medieval Period exhibitions. The museum's findings are constantly updated with new exhibits from archaeological sites in Istria.
Brijuni National park
Brijuni National Park is located along the south-west coastline of the Istrian peninsula, consisting of 16 islands. Apart from swimming in the crystal clear sea and sunbathing in the shade of thick, emerald green pine trees, explore the archaeological sites on Veli Brijun and be sure not to forget your children’s visit to the safari park.
Kamenjak
