Istrian prosciutto

It is made only of pork bred in Istria and well covered with a blend of aromatic herbs such as rosemary, garlic, laurel, etc. Unlike other types of prosciutto, the Istrian version is not smoked. Apart from the excellent taste, prosciutto is protected in terms of its geographical origin, meaning it can only be produced within the Istrian hinterland in places at least 12 kilometres away from the coast.
